Carli keeps saying that her birthday is Saturday. Unfortunately (for her), it's still several weeks away. Last night, she sat down on her bed with a very downcast look and said, "It's my birthday. I didn't get any presents." I sat down beside her and let her know that her birthday is coming soon just not yet. I asked her what she wanted for her b-day, and she said "Candy!" I asked what else..."Fries." So I asked what kind of toy she wanted and she said, "Green, no, blue!"
Carli made us smile today as well. Emmie, Lorraine and I were playing a game when Carli got up from a nap. She was announcing is Friday, and I told her that it wasn't this week, but this Friday we're going to the zoo! She said, "And Emmie and Raine?" We told her no, just mommy, daddy, Olivia and Carli. Emmie and Raine are going to Grandma's house. She decided that wouldn't do! "No, you guys can stay here by yourselfses!"
Just now Emmie came to tell Carli that Daddy's home, and she jumped off the bed and yelled, "OH! That's GREAT!" I couldn't agree more.

| A few days ago, Carli dashed out to the living room in just her scibbies, as Shelly would say. She announced, "I just want to be in my belly!" We hooted over that, but I it took awhile to convince her that we should wear clothes most of the time!
Today, Glen was bringing her home from Grandma Asbury's and Carli saw a man without a shirt peddling around on a bike. Carli gasped, "He doesn't have any clothes on!" Then, "His mommy will tell him!" | | |
